About this episode

A hospice nurse gets a late-night call to sit with a dying man at the end of a road he's never heard of. His GPS takes him off a cliff instead. Climbing out of the ravine, he sees one candle burning in the window of an old farmhouse. Inside, the coffee is still hot, nobody is home, and a radio with no power cord is playing a show called the Lamplight Hour. The host knows his name. She knows what's in his bag. And she knows exactly what he's going to do next. The Lamplight Hour is an original horror story from Night Fears Horror Fiction Podcast. It's a backwoods nightmare full of haunted radio broadcasts, creatures in the walls, and vintage commercials for products that should never have been sold. If you like scary stories, creepypasta, folk horror, Appalachian and Ozark horror, or old-time radio horror, pull your chair up close. Content warning: graphic violence, gore, cannibalism, torture, death and dying, and strong language. This is a work of fiction. All commercials are parody. New original horror fiction every episode. Subscribe and turn on notifications so you never miss a story, and share it with a friend. Or an enemy. Piano Outro by Michael Hughes.
