About this episode
Night Fears Horror Fiction Podcast presents "Incorrect Turn," a full-length original backwoods horror story. Michael and four friends drive down from Pittsburgh for a three day hike along an abandoned railroad grade to a waterfall on Tallow Run, a creek that barely shows up on a map. The old woman at the last gas station warns them off the trail and tells them one rule: if you hear somebody whistling out there, don't whistle back. They whistle back. By the second night the hooting starts on the ridges. By the third day their packs and phones are gone, the trail blazes have been moved, and there's a boot standing upright on a rock with a foot still in it. The family that lives back in that hollow has been there a hundred years, and they are patient, they are hungry, and they know the woods better than anybody. This is survival horror in the vein of Wrong Turn, The Hills Have Eyes, Deliverance and The Descent. Graphic violence and disturbing content. Listener discretion advised. Best with headphones, lights off. Outro piano music by Michael Hughes. Story written and produced for Night Fears Horror Fiction Podcast. New horror fiction stories every sometimes.
